Like many in the pharma and biopharma industry, the EquipNet team is in Paris this week at CPhIWW. What a great location for a truly global event. Early predictions indicate around 35,000 people, from more than 140 countries, will be here to meet colleagues and existing business partners as well as forge new relationships.
 

This year is the 25th anniversary of the event – and 2014 also marks 15 successful years in business for EquipNet. We have seen major changes in the industry over this time but as we look back there is one constant – business leaders are always innovating to solve their challenges, whether they are in drug discovery, formulation or manufacturing. The current environment has brought a sharp focus on efficiency into every area of a pharma company’s operations. Outsourcing of non-core activities has flourished, and there is now a realization that the highly sophisticated (and high cost) laboratory equipment, analytical instrumentation and production equipment that forms a significant part of their asset base, is something that needs active management.
